Books I’ve been loving this Christmas season
Christmas is my favourite time of year. There’s something special about our family advent tradition, preparing our hearts for Christmas. Some of our traditions include crafts, baking, decorating, and of course: reading. Here’s some books that I’ve been loving this year
The Story of Christmas (with touch and feel)
This whole series is pretty fun, and the Christmas edition is no exception. With pleasant rhyming stanza’s, and touch and feel objects on each page, your toddler can immerse themselves in the story of the very first Christmas.
The Nativity
Who doesn’t love a good puzzle book? With five different puzzle pieces, you get to piece together the nativity story as you match the pieces to the pages. Great for young kids.
My Birthday, Jesus’ Birthday
This is actually a book from my childhood that we’ve pulled out this year. A great way to show young ones the difference between their birth and Jesus’ birth. A little dated, but still fun.
Silent Night
Musical books are a favourite in our house. Big W has come through with a couple of great Christian Christmas books this year so we’ve bought a few of them to show our support!
Away in a Manger
This one gets played atleast three times in our pre-bed reading session…
The Nativity
Another nativity book. The pages are what makes this book fun. The felt pages get taller as the book goes on, making it easy for little hands to turn the pages without any help. The simple rhymes help for learning through memorisation too.
